I meant the brake lever side. I never seen the fuel pump relay mentioned earlier, so I did mention it

Me too (on the stator/pickup), but always check the easy things first.

Posts 4 and 5 reference the fuel pump to see if it's running.

If you can hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on (without turning all the way to start) then it's probably your stator. Mine did the same exact thing last fall, crank and crank with no fire; like it wasn't getting any gas. New stator installed and it fired right up with no problems after-- 3,000 miles last winter. Runs fine this fall as well.

How many miles did you have when it failed? Just curious. If you can hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on (without turning all the way to start) then it's probably your stator. I just had an 06 in here that ran fine a few weeks ago and the other day, no start just crank and crank.. Had a code 30 which prevents it from starting. It also caused it to flood so had to crank it lots with throttle wide open when I cleared the code.

Gents, thanks for the suggestions...a little sea foam did the trick, plus above freezing temps for a day or two, she fired right up. I missed that sweet little purr!!
