Yo fella's,,,, I CAN'T take this no snow in 30 days sh!t. I am heading up to North Bay (10 friggin hour drive for us) Thursday the 26th for the weekend. I again offer to anyone going there or living there already to ride Freddy's creation (my sled). I am also looking for a couple of guys to ride with up there as well. My trailmaster (Stevo) from my crew will not be going with us this trip so I could use a little guideance on some nice day trips to go on in the area....................Cubby

Ummm do you know where the chicks stay that travel to Fanny's to work for the weekend???? I do, the Travelodge! And thats one reason we stay at the Travelodge. Another Reason is we park our sleds right outside our rooms sliding glass door. The third reason is you can get so wasted at Fanny's and walk back to the room. By the way do you bring extra helmets (like we do) so you can take those french speakin hookers for rides?????..........Cubby

I am trailering to Mattawan on the Thursday night, sledding to the Travel lodge Friday (I love the location with respect to Fanny's). Saturday we will do some sort of a loop and return back to Fanny's, I mean the Travel Lodge.

We do this loop every year. The girls are great, I mean the Travel Lodge is a great hotel.

When I find out what room I'm in, I'll let you know. We will be a group of about 12. I ride a 2005 RX1-ER.

Cheers,
Chris

You should know though the trails aren't good up there at the moment. We are hoping things improve.

Thanks for the reply Chris. We would like to hook up with you for that saturday loop (4 of us). our rooms will be under the last names McConnell and Busch. Or just look for my sled parked out front of our room. And just in case you are the only person on the planet that hasn't seen my sled (I am a big show off) here is a picture. Thanks again...............Cubby

I don't think there is much snow either. I'm hoping that they get some snow between now and then.

We had a different trip planned last Friday and had to cancelled it due to the conditions Thursday at 9:00pm. We leave it to the last possible moment to cancel.

Cheers,
Chris

We rode around Mattawan at the end of last week.
Was really good.
Took A trail from Lake Nespening (where we stayed) up to Matawan, ate at some resteraunt there (bunch of snobs in there), then took whatever trail that is on the other side of the river (305 maybe??) back. Overall was a great ride.

Here are the conditions as of 19 Jan as posted on the internet.

Mattawa - Open
The Groomer was out after the mild spell we had, conditions are fair the weight of the ice on the trees are causing some problems on the trails. but everything in Mattawa is relativly good. The Mattawa river is not staked yet hopefully this weekend

North Bay - Limited
Our groomers are either out or heading out to clean up after the storm. Use extreme caution if riding as many small trees and even some big ones have come down in the ice storm. Also to note...as many of our trails run on hydro right-of-ways, hydro crews may be out in some areas performing various duties. Remember, we're guests on their right-of-ways so please be courteous and respectful of the crews if you should happen to see any of them. Trails are still listed as LIMITED until we grasp the situation in full. Also to note...TOP A Trail between Four Mile Bay and NB 301 is now fully open and operational. TOP A102Q To Temiscaming, PQ remains closed at this time. Trails south of Trout Lake are open at a LIMITED basis as well. Use caution when riding in these areas. Trout Lake as well as other lakes are slushy until the colder weather sets in. Trout Lake will be staked in the very near future. Keep on the alert for rocks, stumps, and trees in your travels NOTICE: DUE TO CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE PIPELINE ON THE A TRAIL NORTH TO TEMAGMAI BETWEEN MARTIN LAKE RD AND BEAVERLAND RD TRAIL REROUTE WILL BE ON THE WEST SIDE OF VALVE 114
