I rec you toe them out a little further (1/2) total. I went with slim jims and absolutley no darting. I never ran the carbides that came with them.Trying these curves out today. These dart Terribly! My toe out is 1/4 “ total. I’m running the 4 “ round carbide that came with them. If i tighten front ski shock adjusters it turns nicer in corners but darts even worse. Specially whe engine braking. Not happy with these st all.

I keep thinking that my sled should handle very close regardless of what ski, maybe I’m wrong. I know messing with the springs on the ski shocks only made it worse from where I had it starting out today. I ended up back where I started. If I could fix the darting I could live with what I have

Slim Jims have no darting, but I run standard skags again, as darting is minimal and I need more handling to run with the wackos.I keep thinking that my sled should handle very close regardless of what ski, maybe I’m wrong. At least...I'll check them tomorrow. But I think 6 is correct. One set from the apex curves wore very well, especially end of season last year after 2 miles on a dirt gravel road. no snow at all, and icy banks. Had to stop as the temp light was on, but the skags took it great. Very durable. Those 6” slim Jim’s?

Put the slim Jim’s on my Curve skis. Darting is almost gone. The skis at times feel a bit sloppy in straight sways going over 45 mph. If I give gas hard, it goes away. Also in corners, if I gas it halfway in, the back comes around, they quit pushing.
My question is, would tightening the front track shock help these conditions? The shock preload is very light right now.

You'll get lots of opinions, and none wrong, but mine works best with the front skid shock pretty tight, strap in hole 3, which eliminates some transfer off the gas, or on it, making it more predictable. It will also stiffen the rear suspension as when it couples, it's pulling more spring from the front. I need predictability, so I give up some things. Sometimes the deep keel slim Jims catch and you get ski lift..I went back to single skags, and my overall handling and confidence level is pretty high now.Put the slim Jim’s on my Curve skis. Keeping the front (skis) soft keeps the steering a little lighter too.

Thanks! I have my strap on the 2nd hole. My skis are just a little bit of preload when the are hanging. Maybe 5 turns. I probably won’t be able to change the settings on the strap on this trip. But can tighten track shock. I just didn’t want to waste time doing it if it won’t help. I appreciate any tips. Still hoping I can make these curve skis handle better than the tuners. Right now they are not close. Skis are 2 full turns from loose, in the air, center shock 2 inches of threads showing..I think...posted somewhere...rear springs on 2, staple on 3. Tried hole 4 and it worked great for no ski lift and handling, but lost too much transfer, so went back to 3. And see if they have heel or toe pressure, and are tight, not sloppy when in the air. Mine are pretty parallel with the ground, so when you push lightly on the heel, it pops back straight...the front the same. A shim in front or back can make a big difference too. It just takes testing under the same conditions until you hit the combo you're happy with. Thanks! I have my strap on the 2nd hole. My skis are just a little bit of preload when the are hanging. Well, tinkered with the skis some more. Tightened center skid shock 5 turns then backed off 1 turn. Also tightened ski shocks 2 turns. No more Darting. Still pushes. When I backed front track shock of 1 turn helped the push, just starts to get a little wandering at 60mph.. still think the tuners handled better all around.

How is the alignment? Should be toed out at least 1/8 with the skis pulled tight together. Still wondering about heel pressure. Too much will make them push. But in the end, what ever feels best! I added a shim in front, which almost never happens, but that made them steer easier and still had plenty of centering effect. But they did push with the slim Jims on certain conditions more than the single skag. Did you try hole 4 in the limiter?Well, tinkered with the skis some more. I guess my feeling was the tuners push right away (but worked decent on my apex) while the curves tend to 'average' a corner, steering the same related to handlebar movement...predictable.
