2015 MTX Viper
Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. I have a 15 Viper MTX and was wondering if anyone has ever had there primary and secondary clutch faces severely pitted ? The pits are jagged, like hit with a chisel. I don't recall hearing a strange noise. I took off the clutches and nothing is missing or broken. I'm stumped as to what could of happened:confused:

Look for missing hardware above belt guard.
I have a Polaris in my shop where the the upper jack shaft bearing failed and the shrapnel got into both clutch's

Thanks, I'll take another look.

Blowing a belt at speed can do this. Buddy blew a belt at 100mph and both clutches were severely gouged

I had a bolt in the middle belt guard on the inside fall out and ruined both clutches on me.
