I'm noticing a strange noise on the clutch side of my 2005 RS Venture TF (Canada) with 17000kms. Removed Primary spring, weights, rollers and washers and cleaned everything up. Also cleaned up the secondary. Just replaced the Speedo bearing and replaced the jackshaft bearing last year.

When I first start a ride and everything is cold I don't hear the noise, but 10 to 15 mins into a ride it starts up (something warms up I'm guessing)....almost sounds like ice buildup but I know the tunnel is clear. After I hear the noise I stop and feel the primary, secondary and jackshaft bearing for excessive heat and they are just warm.

I know the primary is noisy when I have the rear lifted up and I run it but I am not hearing the noise that I hear while riding. Has anyone ever rebuilt the primary (besides springs, weights, rollers) and what else did you change (ie spyder sliders)? Maybe its time to get another clutch rattle kit installed.

Any suggestions guys?

the sliders could be worn they do make shims to take some of the play out them but you must use the same amount on each slider.

But will worn sliders cause a noise? Would it make sense that it will make more noise with a little heat buildup. Noise is not there when cold but 10 to 15mins into ride I start to hear it.
