Winter has finally officially arrived today according to the calendar. Let's hope some decent snowfall will soon be following so we can get out and ride!

Yes today is the shortest of the year.

Let winter begin, we got about 3 inches of snow last night, hope these surprises continue and add up.

Raining here. I was hoping to get the multi-map installed and go for a blast today. Not looking like it will happen until jan now. :(

53° and heavy rain forecasted for Christmas Eve for me. Trails could open today if we had snow and does not look like any significant snow in the forecast. Besides, still waiting for trailer to be built that was ordered back in September. Screw COVID.

Does "shutting down Ontario" mean all "non-essential" businesses will be closed? Can you still go outside and play?

8-14" predicted today with blizzard conditions. Unfortunately our lakes and swamps are not frozen.

the way i understand it is all non essential are closed and stay home. they can go out and sled/play as long as they follow full protocalls when purchasing gas/groceries.

as i am essential, i basically have been screwed.

We are getting a ‘real snow storm here-Duluth, Mn- with heavy snow, winds and dropping temperatures . Just went out for the mail and we have 3-5 so far, hard to tell blown all over with early drifts should be good in the woods.

Our lakes are frozen, not sure how deep the frost, but the ice fisherman are reporting 8-12 inches of ice, sleds are already on the lake. Hopefully the UP gets this as well. Started all the sleds today, amazing what gas will do. LOL.

Meaning all sleds seafoamed in the spring with premium non oxy-gas, batteries charged a few days ago. Well anyway all sleds, Except the Apex start right up. Apex turns over fast and will not start, fuel pump seems to cycle.

Then thought Hmmm do you suppose I am out of fuel. So, long story short, put in a couple of Gallons and VROOOM she starts right off. Very happy camper. Will be able to ride the lake in the morning.
