I had the same problem with mine it baffled me to ..Usually blew the belts over 90-95 mph for any length of time .. In the end i checked the air box and found oil in it and the drain from the air box has a tube that went right down beside the primary .. Figurered oil must of been spraying the clutch a bit cause it would feel like it would slip .. You do take it easy the first 20 -30 miles breaking the belt in

not saying this is the case, but I have to wonder how many belts are damaged loading trailer or getting stuck etc. my guess is those belts eventually blow. I've always been sure to go or not go, no inbetween. my belt has 5kmi on it now and still looks new. cant even remember what belt. xs maybe?

When was the last time the clutch's clean. Could be a over heat of the belts.

well, at least your honest with yourself. pretty easy for someone to blame the belt or the machinemarkowinnipeg said:sgilbert said:not saying this is the case, but I have to wonder how many belts are damaged loading trailer or getting stuck etc. my guess is those belts eventually blow. spoke to a guy at dealer one time, showed me a OEM belt that was run 10k looked new. Told me a good long easy break-in was the best saver for belts. Stick with OEM, check the alingment and end play on secondary. should be good to go.

mine seem to last for pretty decent milage except when doing lots of lake running
clutch kit? had the same problem with my ulmers when i first installed it. root cause was belt slip. nothing worse than blowing a new belt in 100miles.

Make sure your getting good belt squeeze, belt slip/heat will kill them faster than anything. I'm still on my original belt (4750 K .5 mm wear)

Verify your alignment is correct. I bent my subframe which pushed my motor out of alignment and caused me to blow belts up constantly at any speed over 85 mph.
