I was unaware of any differences until talking with a customer today. I learn something new every day!
In any event....are they interchangeable? Is the 09 shorter than the 08? I have only stripped 08 and 09 and need to distinguish which are which now.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I thought they changed the chain-case end of it for bearing support. 08 part number is 8GL-47511-00-00 09 part number is 8GL-47511-10-00

I believe the steering geometry is different between 08-09

I think we are talking about the differences in the drive shafts...not models.

The original Nytro driveshafts were externally threaded to accept the nut that held on the bottom sprocket for non reverse models. The later driveshafts were slightly longer on the chaincase end to solve the broken bolt problem that plagued earlier models.
