I managed to destroy my engine ECU due to stupidity during fault tracing of my fuel pump relay. So I need a new, but what are the differences?
2007: 8GC-8591A-00-00 (with cold start problems)
2008: 8GC-8591A-10-00 (with cold start fix, I have this one)
2009-2010: 8GC-8591A-20-00
2011-2013: 8GN-8591A-00-00
2014-2016: 8GN-8591A-10-00
Does the newer 8GN work on my 2008 MP? Any improvements worth the extra cost?

It might work but I do know that there was a change at some point on how it shuts down with low oil pressure. It might use a different oil pressure sensor. I know newer models show "lo-op" on the display where the older ones do not.

OK, they have the same oil pressure sensor but I will play it safe.
