I miss the 45L tank my Viper had. The 2010 Vector dose not have near the range of the old Viper. Tour Buddy dos'nt have anything for a Vector. Is there anything else?

I find it hard to believe you are getting better fuel economy out of a 700 triple than you are the 4 stroke. I am lucky to get 8mpg on my 700, which is 90 miles on a tank of fuel. The vector should be more than capable of this range.

With jetting the 700's correct I use to get about 17mpg.I'm talking about non powervalved 700's though.

X2, my 08 is amazing on gas and I far from baby it too!
Not sure how much of a difference it would make but maybe your 2010 isn't broken it yet?

200 kms easy, have gotten up to 270 kms once, couldn't find gas on my trip., had to just keep going. And mine's an 06 Vector with carbs, 10's have fuel injection with better mileage. My friend had 700 Viper triple with pipes and other mods, he got 7-8 miles per gallon. 10 Vector should get 20 miles a gallon.

I'm getting 17 mpg on 09 vector gt which translates to about 170 miles to tank. This is driving semi-aggressive. Hope this helps.

I can get close to 250km on a tank on the Vector, and it may get better. I have less than 2000km on it. The Viper was stock, but had some tuning by a knowledgeable mechanic, could get close to 350km to a tank. I was always the last in my group to worry about how far to the next gas station.
So nobody has any ideas on adding on some gas capacity?

Wow! is right. That's 22 miles a gallon on an older 2-stroke. You should tune for Yamaha. You're sure you weren't a little high on 2-stroke fumes when you took those readings. Sometimes I do miss that 2-stroke smell, until I start getting a headache.

I will vouch for XTC 500, I have run with him a few years running a 2007 Vector GT and we would be matching for fuel or he would beat me by a couple of litres covering 120 to 150 km at time of fueling. His Viper was tweaked perfectly for fuel economy.
A few years of 4 stroke pressure, he has been converted to a 2010 Vector GT the same as mine. We will always beat the Thunder pussy though.

I haven't calculated mpg yet, but it obviously very good. My buddy runs a SXR500 and when we both fill, I use about 2/3rds of what he does. He's calculated his mileage at around 11.5 mpg, so I think 17 or so mpgs for mine.

So on my 2012 Vector RS ,,, something around 17? Better than the 12 I got with the 500 classic and no oil to buy!!!
