Yes you do. Trust me, you do want them in there running studs. On my sled they even hit the exhaust with the protectors in place.

Not being disrespectful, but if your running studs then tunnel protectors are a no-brainer, on any sled imo

thanks guys, being fairly green here, what are the two strips of metal running the length of the tunner? arent those protectors or do you need extra ones on top of that?

Smitdog: yes, those are tunnel protectors in there you are seeing. But guys found they were not tall enough to provide enough protection. So I think on the 2011's and 2012's guys were adding/bolting strips of old hyfax on top of the protectors, for added protection. The exhaust and exup in there are waaaay too expensive to risk damaging with studs.

What Super Sled says, I added 3/8" to them by adding slider (hyfax) plastics to them to save my exhaust.
