I would rather have the mill finish tunnel. Sled would look just as cool. :ORC
For those of you who complain or try to lighten the sled, this man has your answer.
Yes I like it. Finally a tunnel that will save me hours of polishing. Sad thing is Id most likely strip it down and polish it like I did on the 00 SRX. Got to admit, sure would look good polished to match the windshield...BBY

From a chrome and polish JUNKIE. I like it very much. I won't have to spend hours polishing it after every ride. If it gets scuffs, just rattlecan it. Its black, almost all spray blacks would match. if it was a different color, I would probably like it polished better.

Well, I seem to have made up my mind after talking to a few that have ridden them and have decided on the GT
For now that is 8)
I sure hope Yamaha makes a larger version of that cool looking chrome windshield :ORC

Here is the other thing. Spray on bedliners for trucks. Have the front part or the foot part of the running board sprayed.

Running boards are for boots not paint. Busches aluminum polish and a blitz polishing ball and WOW! Like chrome. I honestly can't believe the numbers for this poll. Shocking to say the least.

The Black looks good, I like the all black look. I am concerned about the paint wearing off. I will put board plates down and keep the sides waxed!

I'm going along with Indy on this one, you know his sled. His is the one that looks like he sneaks off and polishes it between stops on the trail.

Steve, I'll admit black is very nice, just wished Yamaha would make that tunnel paint indestructable.

Spray can buddy, believe it or not it works great to remove boot scuffs off black painted tunnels.
Just get the "Glossy" and you're good to go.

Saw the Apex with a black tunnel this weekend. The paint is scratching on the floorboards where your heels sit and it ony had 300 miles on it.

They have these plastic textured coatings that would be good for the floorboards

Tork, I was thinking spray in bedliner. Where do you find what you described?
