I also called Hygear. I like those guys a lot. So I went ahead w the custom axsis. I'll wait the 4 weeks. I'll get back w u after the install. Let me know how yours goes

Apples/oranges not sure what,s that got to do with rebuilding every 1000 miles. Doesn't matter whether it,s the front shocks or the rear ohlin mono shock or not I don,t get your post. Sorry but Maybe I,m missing something. Either way , rebuilt every 1000 Miles is excessive but that,s my just opinion.

Cool, which shock did you order, The adjustable comp and rebound or just rebound?

Comp only. They said they were having problems w the remote reservoir line and the way it attaches to the arm breaking.

not personally but a close firend of mine had one in his 08 LTX and he never had to touch it before he sold it and it had well over 8000km. we don't ride easy either. again just my opininon.

Dead horse whatever...
Your friend is the exception regarding the Ohlins mono not the norm. I'm glad he had a good experience with his shock! Kudos!

Start reading page 2 and you will see I am not the only one that needed regular rebuilding of this shock... but I'm sure you are a far more experienced technician than I and I'm just blowin smoke. Have a great day and ride safe!
