doo 2010 line up - no 1200 turbo or 800etec

A buddy of mine has an 09 800R and his mileage does not compare to my FX Nytro. We always ride hard so I can not say how much better his mileage is when taking it easy. I can say however that we rode last weekend, mostly WOT powder playing, with a few races thrown in, when we got back to the cabin the first day I put about 2/3 of a can of gas in mine and it was to the neck full. He put a full can in and was not full yet. We did not compare MPG's so I have no hard numbers, but I would say he used approximately 2 more gallons than I did.

Here is som result from a long term test from a swedish sled magazine all sleds are 09 models:

Ski doo renegade 800 x: 3,1liter/10km - dry weight 224kg/494lbs - top speed (radar) 155,8kmh - 97,3mph.

Ski doo mxz 600 e-tec: 2,26liter/10km - dry weight 205kg/452lbs - top speed 150,3kmh - 93,93mph.

Polaris dragon 800 sp: 3,68liter/10km - dry weight 246kg/542lbs - top speed 156,6kmh - 97,5mph.

Arctic cat f8 sno pro: 3,14liter/10km - dry weight 248kg/567,7lbs - top speed 148,6kmh - 92,87mph

Nytro rtx se: 2,45liter/10km - dry weight 253kg/558lbs - top speed 147,8kmh - 92,3mph (this sled had 44mm lugs)

Nytro xtx: 2,18liter/10km - dry weight 265kg/584lbs - top speed 150,9kmh - 94,3mph (this sled had 38mm lugs)

Dont know what condition the top speed was tested in but they all were tested under same conditions on radar.

Dont know fuel usage in gallons but 1 US gallon is 3,8 liter and US mile is 1,6km so you can do the math on your self ;)!

Also dont know it they actual did weight the sleds or if the numbers are taken from manufactures papers..

So without doing math, the nytro is more efficient than the all-hyped 600 etec?
Hmmmmmm.

I believe it. There's no magic mileage bullet. You wanna run, you are gonna burn gas. If the plugs are light brown...........don't much matter if it's SDI, DFI, DEI or Hendrick, it's the mixture that counts!!

They did also test the brp's lynx rave e-tek: 2,09liter/10km this sled was the all ower winner of the tested sleds.
