doo turbo,s got slaughtered!!

Don
They had enuff to build a 500' track 30 miles north of us but it,s basically done now.

I will take an apex anywhere anytime.

our doo's are pretty hard to make it fast, but when you find the trick, they are very fast.

I raced against other turbo doo, and there are off. If you have seen something like those, I know why you said they are off.

If you saw one of those, your right

I saw longsled run.

You have NO WEIGHT reduction as far as I know.

If longsled's 1200 is healty and on its high boost setup, I would not bet too much in favor of your apex... sorry.....

600ft, I bet on longsled.

1000ft, maybe you .

Oh boy, I'm not making any call this one... :hide:

maybe, there is always someone faster.

maybe you have a better apex than the other like as I have a better 1200 than the other....

you had the chance to come at the world series to prove it, American, ontarian and Qc guy's were there, and you didn't come...

the only thing that I know, it's only my second year of working on that doo, not 4 like the most apex owner and I know what still sleeping it that sled...

There are 3 times as many poorly set up Turbo apex /Rx-1,s & nytro,s that are embarrising to watch. You can be making 400 hp but if traction/clutching & gearing are not set up properly you will get smoked. In drag racing it,s all in the set up. I have seen guys try to drag race a yammie rear mount in 5 or 600' & it is painfull to watch.
Get a well set up front mount & it,s light years quicker.

Ironic, and I've smoked my fair share of front and mid mount Yammi's as well, let alone the SC's.
Point well taken though, doesn't matter how much power you have if you don't put it to the track surface your racing on... Sleds are like Top Fuel Dragsters.

well said.

I took my radar sled and put it on ice beside longsled using a.... ripsaw 1.25" with 1.38 chizels... I know nothing in drag racing, so I am learning.

needless to say it was no contest, long sled took me a bus length out of the box.

Mulot30th LOL!
Longsled has been very focused on refining & tuning that Doo as a true trail sled to do exactly what he did to you.

We had year end drag races today on snow. I never ran T-2 as the track was iffy & I woulda got hurt or hurt spectators. . Anyway; there were 2 turbo 1200 doo,s at this race. They were both running 1.75 big lugged tracks. Long story short..they were both on their trailers in 10 minutes being knocked out by big bore Mach Z,s with the same track. They were pokey on the holeshot & never did reel anyone in. I have witnessed 1200 doo turbo,s at 2 races now & so far not impressed!!! Might be a good trail sled but in a race on snow not so good!!!! They just don,t come out of the hole very well. 1st race they were beat by a good running 800 xp. Gotta bring a camera or video next time!!!

Come on Turk this doesn't look real good on you!
We work and build turbo kits for a lot of sleds and the Doo is whooping some pretty fast apex's and Nytros.
Drag raced my Nytro at over 20 lbs boost and a 1200 smoked my azz by 4 lengths.
You are right about setup and never bash so much without running against a real fair setup sled.

I have seen 3 turbo doo,s in races owned by 3 different owners & 3 different tuners.
None of em worked very well.
Don,t know or care who made their kits.
Just getting sick & tired of hearing how much faster these doo,s are with similar boost as a yammie.
If ya lost by 4 lengths you need a better tuner setting em up.
Don,t forget your turbo kit on a nytro is rear mount so in a drag race your allready at a huge disadvantedge!!!!

Muloth was one of the the yamy guy that did'nt choke for the Roberval world series ice drag, event if, like me, never went on ice before.

a lots of guy always told how fast they are, and when the race time come, they always have other things to do..........

the fastest sled for a specific day is the one that win the race, not the fastest one in a garage....

Unfortunately, next weekend my race sled will stay in garage.. in need of a new exhaust and a few other things that are not working properly in ignition system and/or engine.

Right now, I could race it a 19psi... but it sound so much like pure crap that I better like to go see you race LongSled.
