We had year end drag races today on snow. I never ran T-2 as the track was iffy & I woulda got hurt or hurt spectators. . Anyway; there were 2 turbo 1200 doo,s at this race. They were both running 1.75 big lugged tracks. Long story short..they were both on their trailers in 10 minutes being knocked out by big bore Mach Z,s with the same track. They were pokey on the holeshot & never did reel anyone in. I have witnessed 1200 doo turbo,s at 2 races now & so far not impressed!!! Might be a good trail sled but in a race on snow not so good!!!! They just don,t come out of the hole very well. 1st race they were beat by a good running 800 xp. Gotta bring a camera or video next time!!!

A good running 1200 turbo .... is not what you`ve seen.

Here, there is one that beats just about everything that can be called a trail sled with exception a a couple high boost yammis

Sorry to burst your bubble....

Yeah Turk, I have seen one down here in NY that runs with the bet of them, give them guys some tuning time. hey will get them fast!

F-ing ski doo was trading wins with the A/C that beat me all winter!!

yeah i dont mean to be a diick, but i think someone's tring to start a pissing match here. look at the dyno sheets (unless someone's trying to sell turbo kits)

computer is a pos, but i think numbers dont lie. i've racced a lof of times in my life and horseys almost always win

i have raced a good running skidoo turbo and he was running 18 pounds of boost and i was runninng 15 pounds of boost and i beat him pretty bad also .the skidoo also runs the rage viii cluctch.i beat him 3 out of the 3 we raced at a ssra race event, he is running the mcxepress turbo kit.

I am just telling what i personally witnessed. These were 2 separate sleds by 2 different tuners & they just didn,t have it at these particular races!!!

Bondi has a 1200 with a Hindle header, RB3 and some clutching that runs 113-115 in 1000' ( could be 1320 )..guess it's all in the tuner!

X3!
We watched a boosted 1200 at a NY hill drag yesterday and it was a hyper pooch just like you were describing Turk.
Down right embarrassing for who ever was driving it, not impressive at all, and definitely not running up to potential like the FPP's I've ridden.

This one had issues, either not tuned properly or that particular kit brand is all hype. More likely not tuned properly, but to what rx1fern said... if it is running more boost then that screams it's obviously to compensate for either a poor tune or poor efficiency in the kit design.

And the 4Tek engine is very efficient on Brake Specific Air Consumption so what does that tell ya?

If yammis got enough weight reduction to be on par with the doo, then its all yamaha win...

but with so much more weight... pretty hard to overcome, need 1000ft ... in 600ft, easier to make the doo go faster.

i was at the same hill drag that mbarry was at in swain ny and the turbo doo was not impressive at all....i kinda felt let down to be honest i was really looking foward to seein that thing run

Turk dont bury them all. You know there is bad running yammies out there also. I have a boosted apex and a 1200 doo, they both haul the mail, ape needs alot realestate to catch the doo, and the doo is under powered by atleast 100 h.ps, I always here about fast Jags and have not seen one yet, either.

Yes this sled of Bondis is fast with his oun design header built by hindle and lots of head porting.
I heard that sled is forsale. I friend of mine bought Bondis oun ported and done over 08 800r, it hauls real good. It's about 2-3 lenghts faster than my sled in a 1/4 mile. His 1200 is suppose to be just about as fast.

Turk, you got enough snow yet or was this up north somewhere? Wish I could have had mine there,,,,
