It is very easy & quick to change the primary set up from an unstudded sled to studded. The supertorquer weights...all of em..use a polaris/comet profile. that is the beauty of an adjustable weight...you can quickly & easily make changes for traction conditions. basic clutching 101.

Right Turk, as are the Heavy Hitters and Supertips. I think Im just a bit past the "basic clutching 101" stage of tuning knowledge.

Right on. I deleted that post because it made it sound like the dran-n-flys were a two piece design.
Out of curiousity, what are you running for secondary cam and spring with those weights? Any issue with overshift?

Not at all. You and I talked about this very topic at Haydays. We just have different aproaches to our clutching. All good Mike.

limited run time...
stock cam with white spring so far ....
when the snow flies want to run dnfs with a stock oem style spring and close to empty weight...I will be running with a shallower exit angle..

That's too bad..... Both of you have a wealth of clutching knowledge to share. I have always enjoyed reading your posts on approaches to clutching and it's been a while since we have had a respectable, informative clutching debate on this site.

I see the guys on Dootalk are starting to look into these weights, since apparently all of the BRP race sleds are using these weights.

I' love the heelclicker leveraged arm designed weights...dont care for the white spring...
a little tuning with yamaha springs yields great satifaction...
some minor tweaking still...but wow!

Why don't you like the white crazy long spring? Does it coil bind?

to me it's a tweaner spring...not race feeling like the red spring...I like the feel of less spring against less weight...less mechanical interference and smoother engagement..
