I am curious what everyone is getting on their 998 Dragy times. I am posting mine and please don't attack me on how slow they are! LOL...this is my trail sled at the end of my last 300 mile ride running on trail side 91? octane fuel and the 240 flash. This is not a competition! Its a 998 info thread.

Groomed trail on the lake with a 15mph crosswind and thats why there is no 1000ft info because I coukd not keep it on the trail long enough!

Not a competition for sure but this can give an idea on how 850s stock with clutching run that can’t beat STOCK Tcat/sidewinder

I have no illusions that my sled is a standout in the 998 world. But I am curious about what people are getting for times....as we all know if we are not running the same track same day ect ect it is not relevant to what a head to head competition would result in.
Since we have no local snow drags in my area anymore I really like the Dragy for giving me performance numbers but have no idea what other people are seeing...even though its Apples and Oranges if we arent head to head...still interesting.

I just compare to the shootout results. At least then you have same sled on the same day to give you an idea of how your run compares. Obviously still apples and oranges but it's better than trying to compare random runs from other sleds as conditions are such a big deal. For example that stock 850 run posted above does not line up at all with the shootout results.

Our stock Tcat was beaten over and over by the 850 n/a. There are a slew of them over where we race and they are all fast. In fact take out a lot of high hp 998s because of traction. They plain leave out of the gate. That’s where the lightweight plays in and then you play catch-up.
280 pefi tune would beat the same sled (850)that beats stocker by 4-5 lengths in 660. Stocker is a couple behind. Both stock gearing and only change in pefi was dalton weights. Nice that it’s as easy as throwing a tune in and some weights to make that gain. This is the four stroke advantage to date.;)

I didn’t say I believed you or not. There are always fast and slow sleds so my point was comparing to the random time slip doesn’t make much sense. Without all being able to run together the best you can do is compare against a group that did just that. Still apples to oranges but better than one guy set up for racing on ice and another set up for railing on the trails with a speed run on crappy snow. Just doesn’t tell you anything. I also don’t get racing to less than 1000’. With the speed of sleds these days shorter than that is over so quick it would seem pointless. It’d be cool to record more like 30 to 110 or something to show how fast a sled actually is in the real world riding. The car guys get that a drag setup is not a street setup so they do 60-130 as somewhat of a standard. Makes a lot of sense to me. The dragy Facebook group is a good one if anyone is interested.
 
2011 N/A Hindle powered nytro, 1.75 track, pcv, autotune, k&n, clutched stock gears, 240lbs on groomed trail with crap traction...110mph speedo 106gps..have not had a chance to run the winder with it. Runs good for a 600cc class sled..

I am excited to share some dragy data this year I hope from the new Riot 9000 and either my XF1100 with port,cams, and turbo upgrade or the wife's xtx mpi turbo. One of the two has to go down the road as we have 6sleds and 4 people in the house and I am dying inside trying to decide which to sell, I should sell the 660turbo touring too
 
How does this work for you guys? Is there tones you can link into a communicator or need to have a ram mount to view phone? Considering getting one for tuning purposes

You look at after you make the pass.
 
I'm kind of a bit disappointed with my numbers. I feel like my sled launches pretty well for being a 129 and just on hard pack. It's of course still way faster than any of my friends 2 strokes. But it just doesn't pull much past the 1/8th mile or 1000ft it seems. I have to get the chaincase open and see what gears are in it, I'm feeling like I have to be running out of gear. I say this because it seems to run the same traps/speeds through 1000ft on the 250 or 275 tunes (I've never tried 285)
