I have been told that I will need to install these ice scratchers since I turbo'd the viper. Does anyone have these scratchers installed with a picture? It looks like I'm going to need to drill a new hole to mount them and not sure where is best.

This is where I put them on my ltx I believe the xtx has holes already predrilled for scratchers in this spot

It's just a little eye hook for the scratcher to hook into so it doesn't scratch the rail when put up. I can't remember the size of it.

i had these before and they just stopped having down pressure. in the end they didnt even touch the ground. unless you keep rotating the mount

Who is telling you need ice scratchers just because you have a turbo? I have over 4000 miles on my XTX with turbo and have had no issues. Ice scratcher are for low or bad snow conditions and have nothing to do with a turbo. I got over 2500 miles out of my hyfax and when I changed to DuPont slides they were good enough for another season.

Just another thing hanging out waiting to catch on something!
