I got a call from a buddy that has a 2002 600 triple in a venture. He is leaking anti freeze from the right side of the belly pan. It is a intermittent leak, sometimes worse than other times. Hot or cold doesn't seem to matter. I suspect a spring style hose clamp. Could a water pump leak in this fashion? Any other thoughts? Thanks

I had the same thing on my wife's 2001 venture.
It would leak sometimes, mostly when it sat for a few days, but never when she was riding.
Found out it was leaking out the vent hole in the water pump.
I kept adding a little coolant & riding it for that season, and then one day it just stopped... 3 yr, still no leak... hmmm. knock on wood...
You can reach under with your finger and touch the pump vent hole , if it comes up green, it's the seal in the pump.
Of you can get a telescopic mirror and fish it down there and have a look see
