I miss working on my Winder. It was very easy! Just spent some time wrenching the new 850 and man o man, what a PAIN IN #*$&@ to work on these sleds! Its like BRP designed it to be HARD to work on! Plastics removal alone causes lots of swearing! LOL....

Dan
It is like, it is always greener on the other side of the fence! LOL I know you will get it right.

It’s only natural.....nobody wants their children to go hungry.
:dunno:

We’re not off topic, I always use silicone spray on all my hoses!
Keeps them in like new condition.
Great Stuff!;)!

I really need to check my posts and this site more often. Funny posts! Yes, All my sleds and "rideables" are female and they all have names too. Like my 2018 MXZX, her name is Val, as in Exxon Valdez because when I brought her home she leaked oil....lots of oil. I haven't named the 2020 SRX yet, just hasn't hit me yet. Sorry to read others are having to clean up spills and check hoses too. I better check those last two hose clamps under the tank, I think I have to remove the seat and gas tank. Good project for tomorrow. Think Snow!

There is another thread called "Hose Saver Kit" where a "Hammer70" shows a pic of being able to access these hose clamps by just removing the muffler. That is the route I am going to try this weekend (hopefully) if my track arrives and I start tearing into her. Looks like it can save a significant amount of work and you can anti-seize all the bolts and whatnot when you are in there.

Copper anti-seize on turbo/exhaust bolts - not aluminum anti-seize.

Bought SS bolts and had planned to use Nickel Anti-Seize on this that I picked up at Canadian Tire.
If you never removed the stock bolts on muffler!
Start sled and bring to operating temp before attempting to remove bolts!!
I been having luck not seizing the bolts in turbo doing this on all the 998's I've worked on!!!

Do you think I should warm her up even with zero kms on it? The warmest it would have gotten is me driving from the trailer into my garage. Let me know what you think. Appreciate the advice.

Should be ok sorry I didn't realize your sled was brand new

No worries. Maybe I will try to take the bolts out before I drain the oil just in case I need to get some heat into them.

Thx
I was surprised when I removed these bolts from my 19 for the first time and the threads were damaged on two bolts.
That was with hardly any kms. Doesn't seem to matter if it's new.
I often run a tap through them on machines I work on.

The Canadian Tire Nickel Anti-seize (good up to 2500 degrees F) is what I've used on a 17 SW and a 19 SRX with the stock bolts and haven't snapped one yet. I remove and re-apply at the end of each season and a couple times during season.
