The 998s that I know of with failed VRs were definitely newer then 2020...3 SWs and one Tcat...in fact 3 were 2022s and one 2023 SW. Only the Cat came with power steering.

Good info. I was wondering if the power steering was relating to this issue. Guessing not at all. Just a bad run of them.

Have a 2018 here. Came in because won't shift into reverse and has an intermittent electrical misfire.
Found out it has corrosion at ECU plug. I suspect this is something that rarely occurs, but thought I'd share. The active error code was P1689.

This sled is new to me, but I'd say at some point it was.
However, I've seen much worse as far as salt damage.
