16 viper ltx 137 with a 2.5 flash. Added slp header and muffler along with the airbox mod and a clutch kit. Evo cant upgrade my ecu to the 4.0 flash because there tooling broke for the viper ecu and there not gonna fix it or replace it. So there gonna send all the viper ecu's back to the customers and refund them there money. I talked to a few guys that said my sled should be ok because they set them up to run alittle rich. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Talk with EVO and make sure it will be ok. if not you may need to put your stock exhaust back on.

I did talk with them, Allen Ulmer and a few other Viper guys and there saying it'll be ok.

Thats good to hear. Peace of mind when far from home riding is always A good thing.

I ran my XF7000 with a 2.5 flash, Straightline header, air box mod with both the Straightline and stock muffler. No issues and the sled runs fine, ended up going back to the stock muffler for sound reduction because I'm old:)!

Hmmm. No more flashes from EVO. That sucks. Was thinking of that for next year.

So I see ulmer lists the flashes on his website and says to send to him. I wonder if he is doing them for EVO also. I was wanting to do this this year so I can mod my air box to run with my EVO muffler

Very interested in what they say.

So I spoke with Allen ulmer and he cannot do it either. Called EVO and was told they are working with there vendor on the broken part and want to get it fixed, but don’t know if they will get it done.

Since the introduction of the Sidewinder I would have to assume that much of the focus (sales) has shifted that way. As Brian stated though its a shame because it seemed to be the last relatively inexpensive performance mod.

Keep an eye on the Cat XX model UTV. It uses the same ECU as the Viper does. The companies that offer tunes for them would be dumb to not offer for Viper since same. But Ours maybe is locked and theres isnt. Not sure but that XX has the same shitty idle our vipers do. The Yamaha YXZ is smooth as silk.
