For anyone thinking about upgrading their exhaust you may want to stay away from Excell motorsports in NY.I dropped $ 800 on this system and must say I really like the sound. Yesterday while I was upgrading my track I discovered that the mid pipe was cracked right off. So the 1st thing I do is call them up and the guy tells me yes we can sell you a new mid for $250 plus shipping. I tell him that's not the way to back your products so I take some pictures and send them to Aaron "the owner" to see what he can do for me. The next email I get is that they are now out of stock and that unfortunately I should get someone "good" to weld it for me and that they will have them again next year. Oh and I forgot, one reason he gave me why it cracked is because in NL we have a lot of temperature change, really good reason for a piece of stainless steel to break off. Then after I send another reply explaining how much gear my group of friend have got from him, he can now get the material in 3 weeks and then make me one and sell it to me for $ 175, what a deal for me,lol. As well if I send the old one back he will weld it for me and I can miss a month of snowmobiling. Last but not least, I tell him that many people can sell product but you have to stand be hide it and his reply is, "he is sorry that he never gave me this option in the beginning because they got snow up there and are really busy". Well MR. Excell we have snow here to in Newfoundland since October and when we buy gear from retailers we need you to stand for your product and not Mickey Mouse around and hope the problem will go away.

Got about 8000 to 9000 km on it,it's not burnt out just cracked right along the join.

I worked on this guys apex and I put a front mouint turbo kit on it. It was 5500 and the header only lasted about a month and cracked and sounded like hell. All this guy would do for us was, if we sent it back to him he would weld it up for us.
There is alot of small performance shops that are into selling and not doing much else for the customer.

They like it going out the door but after that we are done. Can you imagine your local dealer telling you that your exhaust broke because of temperature change, what a joke.

Well I have one on my Super Charger with a pile of miles and my bro has one on his sled and zero problems other then it got louder over many miles of riding...

You can complain but maybe its not as common as you think.... how much you want for it??Ill fix it and run the crap out of it.

It's a sad fact today for us snowmobilers here in Canada. These so called " Performance Shops" advertise about how great their products are, and as soon as it's sold, we are on our own. No customer support whatsoever. Maybe if we continue to let other snowmobilers know about our experiences with these companies like Excell and Hartman, they will think twice about spending their hard earned dollars on substandard products.

How old is it?? Years? should he have given you a new one after all those miles and all those years of driving it?? Will your car dealer do that on a aftermarket system? If so I want to buy my next car there.

dude my old war broke the stock one the same way with similar milage last season. took us 2 weeks for a buddy to weld it for free, so now I have a spare mbrp kit in the garage for when it does it again. I rode a lot of rough trails with that sled, so I think it was chassis flex that got it in the end.

after that milage, just fix it and ride it or throw the stocker back on to keep riding.

I have a thread on here on I believe pg seven titled " losing rpm @ WOT". My Excell pipe cracked in the exact same place!! Took it to my local prop shop welding dude, he welded her up for 40 bucks, got it back the same day in just as good if not better than new condition!!!! He welded the sleeve to the pipe. I have pics on my thread as well showing the crack then the fix

I never said it was common that it broke my beef is the fact that people don't stand be hide their product.
