Excell FX Nytro Ehaust

Allan Ulmer and Aaron Excell just left the dyno, Allan driving home 1200 miles to SD. We made 36 dyno runs tweaking exhaust muffler/ header/airbox/ fuel/ spark modifications wound up with close to stock Apex HP. Most credit will go to the Excell 3 into 1 header before the muffler. More to come

I just sent an email to Fundy Performance to see what they have planned. They built kits for the RX-1 that would get you anywhere from 150 hp to 200 hp while still remaining naturally aspirated. Hopefully they will be working on something. Will let you know what I find out.

Got a response from Fundy. They are working on something for the Nytro and should have a couple of options in a month or so. No specifics on what to expect though.

200 HP??? That is, IMO, way too much. Last year, our group had everything from a 120HP Cat to a 150+ HP APEX....the funny thing is that we all go pretty much the same speed. I have nothing against big HP sleds, but there is a reason that there are more 600's sold than anything else.....

I could see 200 hp being too much for the trail...but for the mountains...no way. Bring it on. I personally would be really happy with about 175 myself.

Sure would like to see those dyno run numbers vs. the baseline... If you could get me high 140's from just installing a sweet sounding exhaust package and losing a ton of weight I'd probably have to add a Nytro in the garage...

When you get a chance some info would be nice as to max hp, rpm, width of the band, and weight savings from the header/exhaust complete system.

I was at the shop last night and Aaron just said is was very successful and Allen is a super guy.

Aaron didn't talk about numbers and I didn't ask, I guess we'll just have to wait until their ready to post them!

I'm still guessing around 145 ponies.

so i heard something today cant tell you who LOL but anyways the full exhaust is about a 7hp gain and just the header with stock muffler is 5 hp but from what i understand that is just what i heard of the exhaust upgrades
