Heard a rattling noise in my exhaust during a trip in Wisconsin, decided to take the sled apart and see what the problem was..... My nytro has 3200miles on it. After taking it apart I found that my exhaust donuts were completely gone! Causing my clamps to come lose which caused my header pipe to break off from the bracket that bolts up to tunnel :o| Had a buddy of mine weld it back together, that was no big deal. I was more suprised on how the donuts were completely gone! I thought i seen on this forum that they make better and stronger aftermarket ones, whats your guy's opinions?? Also just a heads up I guess to people that have never checked theirs before ;)!

You can do copper donuts which will last much longer then the stockers

I'm seeing some on Sled Toyz, for sure going to go with copper ones now. Thanks

Aerospace.......hmmmmm, I guess 99.4% copper technically isn't pure. ;)!

I just ordered a set from OFT racing and they just got shipped out today. They are a little more expensive but are suppose to be made from aerospace grade pure copper, the sled toyz ones I don't believe were pure copper so that's why I decided against them.

Who told you that the sledtoyz donuts were not pure?

What does it entail to do these? Does the tank have to come out? Tried looking on youtube, but couldn't find anything on it. I am pretty sure mine are going, because i hear a rattle once in a while.

Pull the seat, muffler, gas tank, and heat shield and they are right there.

Pretty simple, just a few more steps.

BTW, how many miles on your 09?

I have 1400 miles on mine and am wondering when I should replace mine.....before they #*$&@ the bed...

Anyone have a sound clip of what a bad donut sounds like?

O you will know...it's all part of the game if you use the stock ones ...better check them every 2500 miles or so ;)!
