If not lined up right, and clamps not tightened properly you could have issues....
Ok doo man. Are you installing these turbos yourself? Total cost?
These were just for riding buddies.....order the MCX180 awessome kit and anyone with a little mechanical ability (and a welder friend or nearby shop) can install one.....Takes a weekend but well worth the money!

The problem is not with the clamps coming loose or not being fully tightened. The clamps have spacers that will only allow them to tighten so far which I believe is not enough so I took a couple of mm of the spacer. You can tap on the clamp all you want but if it's against the spacer it's not going to get any tighter. This is just another poor design by Yamaha.

This is the main reason we decided to eliminate the donuts and build directly to the head of the engine. The OTSFF Yamaha Nytro team was breaking them all last year and with the Hindle pipe they have this year they have not had one problem yet.

I noticed on my sled it has the rattle by the header. I am assuming this is what is wrong with the sled. Will it hurt to run sled for rest of season without fixing? I can see the clamps moving a little from under the tunnel from the back. How hard is it to fix?

Can I buy your header for the sled and will it fit a Super Q muffler? Any pics of the system?

Hindle said there is a header to stock muffler available.
I assume the Super Q bolts onto the stock header so vice versa.
Call Dave at Hurricane Performance, he should have them.

My donuts were gone at 2800 miles. I do mean completely gone! Has anyone found a fix that lasts?

Yes the fix is to replace your stock system with a Hindle system to eliminate the donuts.

Whats the Hindle option.mach9 said:This is the biggest reason why I'm getting the stock junk off.
I'm going with the Hindle option.
Cheers
Hindle has eliminated the flex joint/donut system and gone with a slip fit/srping tab set up...check out the thread on it.

I've checked the Hindle website and can't find info on the Nytro exhaust system. I'm only interested in the header and not the muffler, as I want to keep the stock look.
What performance gain is to be had with just the header and how much $?

I would wait on the "Just header" option.
Hindle said he was making changes to the pipe design.
It's an ongoing development which I assume is not easy while he is deep into bike / ATV season.
Hurricane Performance sells the Hindle products right now...
You would need to call Dave to find out details.

The header into stock muffler is being redesigned...the current one is desigend to be used with his muffler...the Hindle products will be in the 2010 Motovan catalog and I believe he is still looking for an American distibutor. Sled Werxs performance also sells their products

Excell also makes header option. Exhaust donuts on my sled are ok now but who knows when they will also go AWOL. I'm seriously thinking about the Excell option for next year. Just the header. Shows a slight increase in HP but not the noise. My buddie"s Apex had his donuts go and by the time he caught it, his header was shot. Luckily for him, he was still on warranty. I wouldn't want to know what that repair bill would have been!

Replaced mine at the begining of the season. They were toast after less than 2,000 miles. I think there is too much flexing in the chassis in combination with a poor design. They really need to figure this out, as stated it's not the 50 bucks, it's when the dealer doesn't stock the dang things, (which is a problem in of it's self) and if you ride anyway the repair bill goes from 50 to upwards of 300, or even 500 if your talking Apex. Very dissapointing. Luckily I keep a spare set with me and just swapt them out.
