Hello, i´m about to extend my attak 2007 from 136" to 144".
The track i´m about to buy is Back Country with 1.75" lug.
Now to the question, what gearing should i use, and what gearing
does it have from factory?.

I´ve used a Back Country 136" for two years, and it´s totally
worn out. Lost alot of lugs. :o|
The problem is, that there aren´t any other 1.75" tracks to choose
from.

Can some one please help me?

Can you give a little info on your riding conditions and how much you go off trail.
If your going to a 144 you may be able to drop down to a 1.5 lug track. It seems like having more track on the ground makes more of a difference than a longer lug.

You should be fine with the gears. Have you looked at the Crossover its a 1.5" very nice off trail track.

+1 on the Crossover track ,,, it was a huge improvement over the stocker in all conditions on my Apex.

Thanks for input...

Thank you guys for input.

My god it´s hard to decide. I´m courios about the cross over track,
at the same time i was very pleased with the Back country, except
for the durability.
I ride about 50/50 on/off trail, but trailriding aint half the fun!

Maybe i should go for the cross over, and maybe i don´t have to
change gearing?

When I stretched mine I called Al Ulmer. 144x1.5 Crossover and my 300 lb butt on the seat. Didn't change clutching, I geared down to 21/38. Pulls 10,900 all day and still breaks 100 on the GPS for mph. I'll be putting a different primary spring in thes yr. to soften the low speed engagement. This will be my 3rd season on this track, around 4,000 miles and it still looks perfect. VERY stable at high speed down UP grades and great side bite in the corners. In fact, I'll be installing it on my '11 Apex XTX this yr. I am narrowing the focus to a more offtrail capable machine. Either a BackCountry or a 2" Challenger

I like my Cobra 1.352"
Good grip from a moderate height. I have no room left in the tunnel for a bigger/higher track, the skid + MCX rear mount is killing the space. Was OK with 1.75 together with the stock skid. And yes it's a 144

I have 2000 miles on my 144" backcountry with just usual wear. I trail ride alot with it too. I think the track is awesome, btw it's a newer single ply.

I've got the backcountry 1.75 on both my sleds and are holding up fine. The Apex is only 1 season old, but the Nytro has 2 seasons on it at about 2,500 miles under boost , about 1/3 of that is trail riding, and it looks very good. I have been very happy with them. Sorry to hear yours didn't last as long as it should? I run ice scratchers (sidekicks) on both my sleds. Maybe that has helped? Have a Great Season.

By the way, I didn't change any gearing, but did put in Ulmer clutching

Let it snow...

I´ve ordered trackextension and Backcountry 144" at last!
Really liked my backcountry 136", and i hope the new one will hold better.
Was there an "old" backcountry?
If so, maybe thats the one i had?
If so, what´s the difference?
