i didnt have time to stud my attak this past season, but i have heard of a lot of racheting problems. am i going to rachet with 162 studs and the track tension reasonably set? i dont want to stud this track just to have to pull it and sent it out mid season to get punched and clipped. if racheting is going to happen i would rather just buy a new fully clipped track and sell my current track. i ran into that with my viper when i went to 8 tooth drivers and it pissed me off not being able to punch it off the line! also what 9 tooth extroverts fit without machining or grinding the rail tips? thanks!
edit: anyone run extroverts on a fully punched but clipped every third track? i just looked and the fully clipped ripsaw is heavy!
then i could just chisel the closed windows.

Attak
I ran 162 in the center last year on my Attak, I noticed little to no racheting with proper track tenstion. Ran ~1000 miles on same hyfax and no wheel issues....pretty crappy conditions in Central NY too.
Only other item I did was to cut out the closed windows at around the 500 mile mark. good luck[/i]

i think ill just go with the doo extroverts ($105 a pair shipped) and punch the track myself. a lot of guys dont think clipping is necessary, but if it winds up that it is then ill clip it.

- None, looking now!
What do you do to punch out the track? Just use a knife of some sort and cut out the track? I have a stock Attack RipSaw comming with the suspension and I assume it the same track as yours. I will be adding the extroverts as well.

No clips needed in the newly opened windows unless you plan on running Hyperfaxes , then they should be fully clipped.
