I had an 06 gt studded and just bought a new 2011 se. Totally factory. I cant really compare yet because there are no studs, sled still not broke in and throttle cable has a bit too much slack etc. id say they are very similar. However there is a different torque feel and its much quiter. EPS is the major, MAJOR difference.

I beat etecs with my 06 watched a video on you tube of a 13 destroying etecs. I'd have to say exup is much faster and I've been told its night and day compared to non exup. Check out Rsol450 channel on youtube see his yamaha vs 800 etecs 3:00 minutes in and you will see what I am talking about.

Its all about hookup. My non studded track spins like mad on icey slick conditions. So im gona put a few short length studs in, mainly for safety. Its still worth it to buy the 2011 or newer apexes though.

I got off my 07 RTX Saturday and hopped on my dads 12 Apex Std for 20 miles. Big difference in power, handling, and comfort on the 12. I didn't want to get off it.

Yes sled is much more comfortable. Better seat and i have float shocks so that makes it even more comfy!

Standard with a 13MM sway bar. Handled awesome, rode nice, and had a lot more mid range and top end pull. Low end was close to the same but my 07 RTX is geared lower. Better gas mileage also!
