I have the need for two lights that I am going to mount on a project Apex we are building on right now. I am fairly electrically inclined, but not so much in 12 volt 4 strokes with big regulators.
Has anyone out there removed the factory light pod and replaced the two lights with other lighting? Did you use PIAA or what brand ? How about the voltage? Any electrical mods necessary or can you use the two stocker wire harnesses and work with those? I would really appreciate any help here, I promise to post photos of the final product when we finish. It will not look like an APEX much, I think you might like it.

Call up the boys at Alpine..I have their PIAA's on my Apex.

Thanks for the post. I found the Piaa lights too! Wiring low to my helmet lamp and high to the piaa
