Anyone knows how the Phazer Mtn. Lite is set up out of the box from the factory?

Reason I ask is if I decide to buy it, it will have to be shipped to me (Greenland) without any setup from dealer.

Any dealers with some info of what to expect to do. I guess I will recieve it as a dealer would with all the work included to assemble whatever that needs to be assembled etc.

As with all Yamaha mountain sleds, it will come set up clutched and geared for 8000 ft elevation. 8DN-10 weights w/ 10.3mm steel outer, none innner, G-Y-G spring, 17-41 gearing, 37 deg. helix, red spring 55 deg. preload (B-1)

if you mean setup as in actual setup out of the crate, its not horribly bad...

skis, headlight, handlebars, riser, windshield, track adjustments, bumper, some plastics...tahts about it

first one took us 1.25 hours to setup, now we're right around the hour mark to assemble

Well i meant both the assembly yes and the factory altitude setup.

I ride from 0-2000" so just wanted to know what to expect. Will the factory setup be horribly bad for my riding area?

Yamaha has Low altitude specs that the dealer will install for free. Heavier rivots on the primary, 19 tooth top gear, and stiffen the secondary "I think" to c2. My current dealer orders probably more mountain sleds than other dealers in the area so they keep up on low altitude specs. When Mine came in I said I'll be there tomorrow to get her and he said "sure, but make it late in the afternoon because we have to pull the clutches and open the chaincase". I will call my dealer this morning to confirm Yamaha's low altitude specs and see if he can fax them to me and I'll post them. I am also attaching the secondary spring preload chart from Yamaha. I don't know if this is in the owners manual or not but I had my dealer copy it for me. This C,A,B, secondary stuff always seemed @ss backwards to me. I ride around 600 to 1500 feet above sea level.
