After reading all what U guys talk about.. decided to get one.
My current sled is a 2000 black SRX which I finally got to be about perfect for me.
The newest one is 05 RX-1 ER in candy red.. man does it look sweet. Picked it up last night.. took it out today.
No more pulling that GD pull starter rope!!!
Couple questions..
Best way to start this thing up cold.
Today I put the choke on full.. fired it up.. then moved it over to the center.. runs rough. Couple times I'd turn it off and it would want to idle at 400 RPM or so so I'd move it back. Took quite a while before it would run on it's own. Stalled about 3 times. Was about 25F outside.
Hood fit/finish seems to be poor.. shifted to the left side half an inch vs the right side (as viewed from the seat).. they all like that?
I checked to make sure the hood was seated in the guides on the belly pan to make sure.
Fuel is down to one bar and the ! warning light is on.. is it on due to the fuel being low (gas pump icon is lit) or soemthign else? It's not blinking. Manual really doesn't say much about it.
Dealer told me it would go out when warm.. the coolant light did but not the warning light.. maybe he didn't know what he was talking about?
I'm sure the dealer set the suspension up to 'standard' settings and I haven't been underneath the thing to re-set it. Track seems to hook OK on snow, damn scary on ice. Doesn't transfer like my SRX does.. but I think I can adjust for that. Front end seems to skitter over smaller bumps.
I'm sure all this will go away once adjusted and the suspension is broke in.
Power is pretty smooth but stumbles occasionally. Gonna break it in before I beat on it. Then I'll start modifying it and really have some fun.
