Went for my first ride in viper last night. Minus 28 c I must say handwarmers will fry eggs, and they are out in open and have no hand guards. But at night the high beam is useless.. And the dim seems ok but any amount of snow and it's just about gone. Also at these temps it seems to build up ice somewhere and makes one hell of a growl till it clears.. Not a great first ride. Also took a lot to start it when this cold. Was in dealer. Loaded it drove home about 3 hours in -28 on sled deck. Honestly thought it wouldn't start. Power good down low but sure falls up on top..

Dealers don't want to spend the time to do it also they are suppose to do the ski alignment which usely doesn't happen either. The only pain with adjusting the light is removing the piece of plastic in front of the handle bars.

Not a bash but don't expect to much with the headlight it's been discussed numerous times on the cat side. The lense it's self does not cast the light very well, your either worm hunting or coon spotting.

As TurboJamie said I felt the high and low beam were a bit far apart, maybe not as far as our 06 Rage's.
Maybe the shim fix will work. That is to shim, use a washer to mover the bulb back a bit in the holder which repositions the beams.
On the Rage's I did not have the correct size washer so I used 2 o-rings, one inside the other to make a washer. This made the high/low beams pretty much perfect.
O rings were National O Rings #221 = 1/8" x 1 7/16" x 1 11/16" and a #217 = 1/8" x 1 3/16" x 1 7/16"for each bulb. This makes a 1/8" washer to fit in the holder, around the bulb. This maybe a bit to thick as the high/low are not as far apart as the Rage.
I will try this once I get the Viper broke in.

"EVERY" new sled I've owned needed the head lights tweaked before I was happy. I set mine for perfect high beam and let the low beam ride lower..Good luck viper owners. Once set you'll be happy. MM.
