07 phazer, added fan last year ran fine, this first ride temp light came on after riding some, fan was running. shut machine down let cool down then fired up and idled, fan came on after few minutes ran for a bit then went off, light did not come back on. overflow tank has fluid don't see any leaks, the oil breather hose in air box seems to be venting alot of vapor. Ran the sled on warmer days last year had zero issues, i read how to bleed the system will try that tommorow. Thoughts? Waterpump go bad over the summer or radiator overflow tank cap bad?

When that light comes on, it means it's running a little hot, like in the movie:
You were likely running in low snow conditions. If you stop and let it idle to give the fan and radiator time to catch up, the light will eventually shut off and then the fan will also shut off. If you get the RED temperature light, then it is overheated.
I recommend installing a temp gauge. The Koso with a hose adapter works really well. Search for my thread on my installation.

bottom left light was on i believe was orange and indicator on screen.
Ran my second machine around the rest of the morning no issues with that one, same conditions same sled but fx. I will read into adding a guage, just odd first ride and issue when zero issues last season with same crap conditions.
Wonder if the thermostat stuck closed, the track heat exchanger was melting snow for sure.

It can happen. Sometimes mine comes on and sometimes not. If cold enough, it can also be caused by icing around the front heat exchanger.
got quite a few air bubbles out of system bleeding it, tstat is working since pushing fluid after warmed up to get the air bubbles.
Got to read up on coolant flush/replace some nasty stuff in there.

I also found that some Water Wetter or other cooling improver helps with heat transfer.
