I didn't think yami's broke!I can speed up slowly to 6000 rpm,but as soon as i give quick throttle-it surges, then i have to let the engine idle down to speed up again??I tried to read the manual, but limited for time-because my sled is stuck in the bottom of a drainage ditch 12 miles from home-so i would like to bring it home soon before it's too dark!!Can anyone help me=thanks alot ;)!

TORS is kicking in, probably because of your speed sensor

my 06 nytro acted the excact same way when I forgot to plug in my speed sensor after a track install/summer teardown

check for damaged speed sensor, broken wires on speed sensor, bad connection

speed sensor can be damaged by bad driveshaft bearing, blown belt, collision etc.

If you can't find the problem, try by-passing TORS to get you home, just be careful incase your throttle sticks

I rolled mine in some slush....and for whatever reason throttle control filled with ice/water/slush and wouldn't work kept throwing code....chiseled off ice and messed with throttle till it worked.

Sounds like the speedo sensor bearing is shot. Happen to me 3 weeks ago. Pull the clutch side panels off and look at the speen sensor below your secondary. If the speed sensor is touching your shaft, then the bearing is shot. Gonna cost ya about $300 to replace if a dealer does it. About $100 in parts.

Hit the nail on the head guys!Bearing gone and worn through speed sensor! How often does this need to be replaced?Second one in 3500 miles!Didn't think this was the problem"Again"!!!!!! This is another example of warranty being important-our Can. Division is way less out of pocket =where by the USA has many more years available to the customer.Almost makes us buy in the USA, and have a second address, and support American Dealers!!!Whom, I wonder if this is happening? :rocks:

I just had this code combo flashing on mine this morning...the sled had just come back from being at Dyntech for a dyno session....I picked it up at the shop ( sat outside covered last night )..fired it up and had those codes flashing....wouldn't move ( damn TORS )...I wiggled the throttle cable...shut it off..started it back up and codes gone...sled is fine now...do I need to get these codes cleared or will they creep back up....Im going on a trip this week and have no time to get it to a dealer.

Make sure your throttle cable is all the way back in the hole by the thumb throttle, sometimes it seems to be in but if you push just a little harder it will kind-of click, and lock in more. It needs to be setting all the way back to make the tors work right

Did Hindle offer up a smile for you after the dyno session?

I found this post the other night when the exact same thing happened to my buddy. Turns out the speedo bearing was mangled and it took out the speed sensor. Good info because if we caught it a bit earlier there wouldn't have been as much damage. I actually had an extra bearing with me but by the time we checked it the bearing was welded to the shaft.....result.....tow truck home. :o|
