hopeing someone can help me out here
I installed a mega float that I bought from port yamaha in my dads 07 attak and even with the air pressure at 200psi I can bottom it out by pushing on the bumper with 1 hand and it doesnt hardly rebound at all. You can pull it up proably a good 4 inches. Now when I first installed it it was fine sat up nice and tall and barely compressed even with someone sitting on it. It was only in for a day when I noticed how soft it was. I checked the psi and its still at 200. Any idea what the probablem might be? This should be covered by the warrantee especially considering the sled hasnt been ridden with since the install right? starting to think he should have just went with the big boy spring
Any help is a appreciated thanks guys

Is there a dolly or something under the track when you are doing this? If there is this will change the leverage and act like the shock is very weak. Make sure the sled is sitting on even ground.

LOL thanks alot man I was getting ready to take the skid back out. That is weird how being on the dolly makes it seem that soft I never would have thought of it. Your the man

Now the attak is ready to roll

Would you mind putting your thoughts on the mega float on here once you have ridden it? I wanna pull the trigger on one, but am hesitant.
Thanks!

yeah i'll post a review now that its not on the dolly it feels great pushing on it takes a lot to compress with it set to 200psi. If nothing else it looks BA lol looks really good under the sled with the blue powdercoated beefed up mono
heres a size difference compared to the front shocks

Nice job on the suspension. I'm also looking at replacing my monoshock with the megafloat. I still can't get my suspension to stop bottoming out even after replacing the spring ( big boy spring ) and getting the shock revalved. I am very frustrated with this suspension. Hopefully the megafloat is the answer.

I hope the Fox megafloat is an improvement!
I've never been real happy with the stock shock in my 07 Attak & while doing service today we noticed that the Rear shock body was worn thru from the shock spring. Now I have a reason to change & the dealer has offered the MegaFloat for cheaper than a stock replacement shock. That's what they are installing on my attak.
Now if we ever get any snow I will give feedback on it!

I bought the Mega. Waiting for my skid to come back from halfbaked.
Also...Talked to a tester @ Yamaha. He said they found the shock to perform best @ 168psi so that's where mine is set.
I'll report back after I ride it. I (and my back) was so sick of the ohlins. That thing did nothing but bottom out.
Rose the SE last rear and liked what I felt...
Port has the best price I have seen on this shock. I think his site shows $640.00 and he may have done a group buy on here as well.

The Ohlins can be made to work unbelievably well. Click on the link in my sig. for more info.
The Megafloat is neat and has some potential, this post shows what it is all about, and what can be done to improve it further (in process). http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=94599
