Fox QS3 shock question

Do you think the stock center shock and a QS3 rear be a good set up for a 137" skid, or should both the center and rear shock be QS3's? I can find the rear shock for sale on-line, but I can't find QS3 sets with both the center and rear shocks.
Qs3 rear is all most sleds came with. Yes it works well.

Have it revalved by Cannondale & get a spring also, you will like it Imho

I believe sleds with QS3's from the factory only came with a standard gas center shock (KYB) from Yamaha. Hygear will custom build a FOX QS3 center shock for any sled (called the H1), I had one built for the 16 RTX Viper, it works really well.

Picked up 3 QS3 shocks two front and 1 front rear skid shock came off a 129 ZR 9000. Going to put them on my 2015 RTX 129 Hurricane turbo 190. Just wondering if I can use my stock rear shock if I send it to Cannondale27 to Re valve.View attachment 147661View attachment 147662 View attachment 147661View attachment 147663
That's a rear shock for a 129, the rez are offset to side of the rear suspension, the 137 shock rez is straight below the main body. You can use your center shock with this setup just have Cannondale revalve it for you and get a better spring.

In the photo you can see the difference between the shocks, rear front and rear back. This is a set i purchased new from Hygear for my 14 RTX.
Hope it helps.

So I have ordered the rear QS3 shock; it will be too late for this year, but I am excited about how it will improve the ride on my Sidewinder for next season. Do I need to have the center shock re-valved because I am changing the rear shock, or is it just an additional improvement to the ride? Also, I like the current amount of ski pressure for handling the sled. If I am not trying to lighten up the front end, would there be any benefit to changing over to Bill Mohr's spring?

Try it as is. My valving does help the center but not as much as the rear 2.0 base shock which had some major issues. MtCooler one of my buddies I ride with most times has stock valving in his center and revalved rear. Been very happy. That QS3 rear is a huge improvement! Now if you are over 2500mi on center it really should at least be refreshed. Its only $30. If not trying to lighten front end then no need for the spring.

Thanks Cannondale; as always, you are a great help!
