I too love my 04 Warrior, and have a friend with an ATTAK. I also think it's great that YAMAHA is moving forward so fast with the new improvements. Can't wait to try his!!!

The real fool is someone that finances a snowmobile every year and gets farther and farther in debt each year....i'm sorry but 10-11 grand is WAY too much for something that sees use like 3 months out of the year. I'll stick with my 03 taht i got for 4 grand and the 4 grand turbo kit i put on it. Remember, only wusses that can't make power brag about corners:)

I don't know? Most successful people don't seem to have a problem with spending money. It's not like my friends brag about their new sleds - I think ALLOT has to do with the fact that if we got 36" of snow in the next 6 hrs. I'd be wrenching, while they're riding. In fact, "Blue Me" is up from Detroit right now - Riding. He had to go about 150 miles west though. Oh I'm sure he'll call me at work today and let me know how much fun he's having on his new Attak - so I brought the un-used souvenier "NWA Air-sickness Bag" into work today.

You guys are right. I have a new RTX and love it. But I still have my 03 RX-1 and am almost done building it. There are things I will do with the sled I own that I fear to do with a sled with a mortgage.

The RX is stoudt and with pipe, shocks, new rear suspension more aggressive track and clutching I cant wait to roll this baby out on the lake. For the same reason I still have my 97 sx 700 there are different times when I want to ride differently. I ride every weekend starting last weekend and do an avg. of 5000 miles flat out can become a little boring all the time. The Apex only wants to ride 1 way flat out.

It is all about attitude boys. Go back one year to read all the posts about how fabulous the 05 RX-1 was vs an 04 or 03 RX-1. Yamaha is a very astute marketing and sales company, who is on the leading edge of technology, just so they can get us to "move up" one more time.
Be thankful that you are driving a great sled...no not the absolute "latest" and "best"; but still a great sled. Enjoy the winter, let the other work the bugs out of the APEX line, then make a move when you are comfortable and can afford the jump.

There will never be a sled or car or whatever that are totally free of bugs.

Some people waited for '04, then '05, then 06 to wait until bugs were fixed. The mono had its own things, the '06 mono is still not perfect. The bugs in the Yamaha 4-stroke that I'm referring to are minor bugs though, mostly.

I'm not slamming anyones sled, nor Yamaha. I still love both my RX-1s. Every kind of wehicles has it's share of bugs to be fixed. I've had minor bugs on all my Suzuki Moto, Kawasaki Moto, Suzuki cars, Toyota cars, AC sleds, Yamaha sleds, mostly minor bugs and easy to fix, and mostly when wehicle was still under warranty.

What I'm saying is buy the sled you like the most and that you can afford. I could not afford a new sled this year and maybe not next year either, but I would buy an Apex or an Attak any time if money weren't an issue. The '06 Apex line are so much better than the '03 and '05 that I own.

Happy sledding in the holyday season to all @ TY - Ride safe and wear protection gear.
