Hey there all!
I just bought my sled three weeks ago and when I got home I noticed that the tunnel was wide open. It had previously had the metal sheet to cover up the hole but was now gone. So I searched about it and I made a mistake. I was under the impression that the Yamaha tunnel closing kit included a sheet of metal of the front hole aswell.
Anyhow I had already closed off both holes when I read that the kit only included a sheet for the back.
I have removed the rubber flaps under the tank to allow more hot air to escape through ventilation, I also trimmed off the aluminium that was under the seat frame. My fibre shield that goes over the flex joint was in a thousand pieces, so I bought one of theese and put it over instead of the fibre shield: https://www.biltema.se/bil---mc/tuning/avgasror/varmeskold-2000022291
I then used header wrapping from the flex joints and covered maybe 30CM so I stopped somewhere outside of the tank. Im worried it will get too hot even with my precautions. So Im looking for a bit of a guidance! I also put some of the heat material over the plate that goes over the exhaust.

I was thinking that maybe I could put a thermometer under the tank and see how hot it gets?
I know I put the heat shielding upside down, but maybe that doesnt matter? =D
