I pulled the trigger on this as well. Watched the video live. Was hooked on it after that.

I fully understand the sarcasm as it is a big number. Looking at the video again I see 14.5 briefly. However, when I had a subscription to dynotech research, I remember reading plenty of tests with boost at only 13 lbs on otherwise stock machines and the increase was impressive. What I also noticed is that the power levels did not increase the same way as boost levels rose. It took much more boost to get less power the higher the attempts. Ecotrail before was said to be good for 250 with a 2.5 muffler and 13.5 lbs. So can a header with 3 inch muffler at 14.5 make 288...? I am slightly skeptical also. I'd prefer to see it on a crankshaft dyno. I also noticed the airbox lid was off. That’s cool, so I guess a 20 psi tunes is near 340-350 now

Never watched their video. Didn't need all the hype to purchase this product.

My son and are both ordering the td self tune setups. He is running max 17 with 18,500 kms compression still perfect even though he rides the bag off it with 1.75” paddle track. Mine has 11,000 kms on max 16 sm. His 17 rubbed a wire through and quit on trail once but neither one of us have had another fail on trail. Both sleds have watched a near new 850 doo go down a time or two just for the defectors that end up on the wrong forum with their comments. We rack up the miles and would enjoy the extra range, we have also seen visible exhaust smoke when beating the sleds in deep snow, no doubt a ton of underhood heat going on that richens the fuel ratio that new setup should auto adjust for. If it makes our crazy fast/fun toys work even better you American guys will be able to see the #*$&@ eating grins all the way down there.

1nc this was the number one reason that persuaded me to go with the closed loop. I had already purchased the AFR module and Hurricane's fuel upgrade kit in preparation for the header/bigger injectors and eventually turbo upgrade. Being able to run a true CAI is icing on the cake.
Man your sled is going to be a rocket on the trails!

Can’t believe this thread is dead in the water? Open loop turbo cars we have are super crisp all the time regardless of weather. If fuel economy bragging is even close to accurate our 4 to 500 km rips through northern ont and Quebec would come with more peace of mind, gas money doesn’t count playing with almost 300 hp power toys. No new news from Ben or Hurricane, anybody have any input re packages and pricing? I plan on calling soon anyways about our sleds but input would be appreciated.

Once people use it there will be more reviews, the guys I know personally are buying it with hopes of getting another 20-30kms to a tank just for a piece of mind. There will be comparisons within our group as soon as the trails open there is some that are getting it and some that are not , running same tunes, same gearing and same driving habits so we will see. Right now their within a $1 or $2 of each other. I trialed it late last year but didn't get a lot of miles on it and running a bigger turbo I was better than most and a couple bucks more than others on fill ups. Also believe GAP did some tweaking since then.

I’m curious to se how this will work I was gonna buy but holding off. Yamamarc is going to try out and give me some data on it. But I’m sure it’s going to be on list to order lol.

Warmer weather or colder weather shouldn’t affect your afr’s, you have an intake air temp sensor that adjusts for that. If your sleds going pig rich in warmer temps, it’s probably because it’s tuned for that. When your engine gets over a certain temperature there’s more than likely a fuel multiplier that goes into effect essentially adding more fuel to stave off detonation.
Air temperatures really should have no affect on a good tune, your sled has an iat sensor.
Now differences in fuels specific gravity and alcohol content are what cause Afr’s to change drastically.
