Hey Guys, i may have missed this somewhere, but is there a good place to get gears thats not as nuts as from yamaha?? My dealer wants $380 for a 40tooth gear w/ reverse, for 06 attak. I'm not trying to be cheap, but that seems a little steep to me.

Call Allan at Ulmer. Way cheaper than the dealer and it is a Yamaha Part. If I remember correctly I think the one I got from him last season was about 1/2 the price of the dealer.

WOW $380 for a gear.. thats nuts!! I once sold an entire set of 8 polaris top gears for $50.... I have a couple yamaha gears that came out of an 05 rx-1 and an 05 warrior. maybe I should put them on ebay and sell em if they are worth that much......

I was quoted something like that last year from our wonderful Canadian Dealer. As I said less than 1/2 from Ulmer.

Ulmer Racing is the way to go. $35 for a top gear and , $127 for a bottom gear if you have reverse. Ulmer has got the goods.
