I have an o3' shorty ER. I want to keep it close to stock as possible. What will make it hook better and go faster? It has 192 Gold Diggers 1.075 in the stinky stock track. What should I do? And what should I use. I am thinking track(1" or 1.25 paddle with center studs 96?) K&N's? and maybe a clutch kit or just Heavy Hitter weights. I spoke with an Engineering tech from Heel Clicker in a personal setting one night and he told me NOT to buy the Heel Clicker's. He said they just do not have the sled figured out yet. He said replace the weights only with Heavy Hitters weights. He said it ain't worth 5MPH in 1000'. Help me out guys I am so lost on this sled.

Yamabluerx1, that's a revelation to hear a Heel Clicker engineer say such a thing! WOW! I have my Heavy Hitters loaded and ready for service (right after I try my heavily loaded 8DN-00 weights again).
As far as what you should do? I have a RX-1 mountain so my help will be limited in nature but you're on the right track with the heavy hitters. I'd like to try one of Camo Hill cross tracks if I were riding a short track. Best of luck. Powder Blue

blue,
The engineer wasn't on the next bar stool, was he?
I didn't know they had any engineers besides Randy.

Well to answer your question...I was in the same dilema last season. I rode Boxing Day and HATED the hookup...I took the stock (already STUDDED  ) POS track off and put Extroverts with a Camo 9833 fully clipped track. WOW...what a difference!!! With a 9833 unstudded track there was virtually 0% TRACK SPIN on hardpack. The unstudded 9833 performed 150% better than the studded Stock track. Sold the stock track to a guy for $500 Cdn and the whole exchange cost me about $700. Well worth the money. I have the HH's from BBY and I had it out on the grass last weekend! WOW pulls like crazy and that track couldn't ratchet no matter what!
I have 96 Studs to put down the center but I am still debating.
I have a feeling that I am getting this machine to where I want it...I hope Yamaha doesn't bring out anything too wild for 2005 or I will be starting all over again...
