I was wondering where you guys are getting power at? I have a Garmin Nuvi 500 that has trails on it. I would like to hard wire it.

Is there a 12v dc power close to the handle bars?

I just picked up my XT-X on Saturday.

Is this the power we are talking about?

Is this just a built in trickle charge point?
Now I understand the multi SAE splitter orders. Damn can those SAE connectors be bought locally instead of waiting for China delivery?

On my sled my dealer tapped those wires with solder connection on other side near hood plug for heated shield.

I have a Garmin Zumo and hard wired it. Simply ran a power line directly from the battery and put a fuse on it. That way the GPS stays on when I turn off the machine for gas, to talk etc. Works really well. Feeding the line is easy, remove the seat and you are there - fish wire from the clutch side to stay away from turbo heat.

That's it.

There's 2 of them as shown.
I've plugged my Shield and an aux USB plug into one, and have the other as a spare in case I mount a GPS.

I'm just not sure what Fuse they're connected too?
I don't think there is 2 or at least I could not find the 2nd one. The picture shows the power point and cap and I used it to wire up the LED's in my hand guards. It worked real well and is wired to the key on/off. Anybody know where to find the 2nd one?

There is only 1. the other 1/2 only has a ground wire no +
