Cold Guards block all the wind.
Easy access, to all controls, also.

Price is not bad either.

I had powermadd on viper, apex & grizzly. Have snapped mounts in cold weather or on a branch, but switched to Rox flextec and haven't had a single issue. Both are great but I'd go with Rox. Will try to get pics for ya

I like the Rox. They flex and they're warm.

I'm wary of any product when the spelling and grammar on the web page looks like a 6 year old wrote it...

Where exactly are you mounting the hand guards? I had a closer look at my handlebars now and there isn't much spare space on the bars, especially with the handlebar bag on...

That's interesting, you have a rubber piece on your bar tight to the throttle assembly. I mounted mine right against the break and throttle assemblies. I also fit a GPS on the throttle side.

The rubber piece is the mountain strap (or whatever it's called), you can see it in the first and second pic.

This could be an option for you.
You should be able to cross reference the Cat pn to Yamaha. If not, the Cat part will fit. Same bars & controls.

I think I've seen these in the Yamaha parts catalog. Does any hand guard fit these mounts?
