Hey guys, anyone having problems with there hand warmers on a 2010 XTX? I have 480 miles on and on the weekend my hand warmers were not working at all then later in the day they started working only to quit again. i tried all different settings.
Take it to your dealer and tell them to fix it...should be covered under warranty.

Sounds like faulty wiring or relays maybe. A trip to the dealer may be in-order

- 2007 Attak - LOVE my sled!!!
Have heard of this a few times so far.
Mostly after you take off from a trail break, you freeze.
(Sound familiar?)
It appears to be something weird in the ECU programming and only on the 2010s.
Have your dealer check them out, if he doesn't help, get ahold of me.
Will set you up with something that gives you grip power feedback, so we can nail exactly what is going on & get you taken care of.
Either way, let us know what you find!

Same problem w/ my 2010. Just got back from the dealer and they had no answers for me. Checked the sled out, tried telling me it was normal. It has the latest design heaters on it. Said he was calling Yamaha in the a.m. and was going to let me know.
I bought my sled in South Dakota(I'm form Manitoba) I spoke with the dealer but until Yamaha figures it out I'll just deal with the cold hands. I will likely just put a set of dumbo ears on for the real cold days. When they work they are friggin hot but when they don't she gets a little chilly!!
I knew full well going in that if a warranty issue came along it would be a pain in the @$$ so no biggie, i'm sure someone on here will figure out the problem!! Rock i sent you a pm. Thanks guys!! ![Tsr :rocks: :rocks:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/tsr.gif)

Rockmeister contacted me and he is going to set me up with a set of plug and play yamaheaters at no cost
to see if we can figure out what is going on with my 2010 XTX. He already emailed me a tracking number!!! I will definetly keep you all posted on the results. Thanks again Rock!!!! ![Tsr :rocks: :rocks:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/tsr.gif)

Dealer called me back after contacting Yamaha and basically told me that i'm S.O.L. They dont see a problem or have a fix. Very dissapointed!

What's the point of the warranty?
Keep nagging your Dealer and call Yamaha warranty and customer relations.

hand warmers
At first I thought my 2010 xtx hand warmers were working fine. Now that I have several trips under my belt, that's not the case any longer. Sometimes they work fine other times they don't. The left grip will be cold the right will be warm. Then neither will work then both start working, get the picture? Stopped at a dealer in the UP he said there is another up-date that can be done to the 2010 but there is a 100.00 dollar charge. He said the owner did it on his sled and was not impressed! My friends 2010 vector grips work great, I don't get it?

Just got off the phone with Yamaha customer service.....Not good. 20-30 min. on hold and a big waste of time. Informed me that they are working as designed. They don't see a problem or are they working on a fix. i love the sled other than having to ride it with frostbit hands all the time. I guess it's time to get the Yamaheater from rockmeister.

LOL. These are the new and improved 2010 heaters? I'll stick with the ones on my 08 if these ones are the improvement ;-)
