Hang on!

Careful.. Those chisels will not make it more then a couple hundred miles.. No carbide tips.. I understand guys do it and have different opinions about chisels on the trail.. IMO not any studs without carbide tip for TRAILS.
Agree. Been there done that. Got tired of replacing 'em.

I have to side with jonafon1 & turboflash on this one. Both have more experience & ride the exact same trails as I do. Things get dicey very fast.
You can encounter, gravel, large rocks, long stretches or road, and obviously, parking lots. It's a great place to ride 80% of the time. But I'd hate to be in the area the other 20%.
I'll put chisels on hold for now.

Last minute upgrades, as I'm preparing for bar hopping season. I will pray for Boosts, Comp 850's and 900R's.
Take them out of the hole and watch their hopes drain from their bodies for the next 1,000ft.
3 bar map on the way.

I’m playing with my buddy on his 900R. Last season I was having issues with this new to me Winder. Couple boost leaks, exhaust leak, running hot, some clutching issues but out of the hole we stayed neck and neck, 60-70’ mark I started walking away and kept pulling on him. I didn’t have a wideband and AFR so I didn’t go to to my 300 tune but 240 and 270 netted the same results. After I found my issues I told him this year he’s gonna get all of it so he better be ready.
He’s stuck close to $9k in his brand new 23 with 2100 miles on it this summer. Lol. Elka stage 4 shocks and springs front and back, helped him pull skid and put a Ripsaw2 1.5 on, he did the clutching and had to buy all the tools, charge tubes with blow off, bigger intercooler, 3 bar, catch can, stage 3 tuning and a throttle body support bracket. He should be close to 270 this year. Think my next move is gonna be like you, get my fat arse to the gym to shed weight. Lol.

But I didn’t leave mine alone this off season either. It’s gonna be a good run with him this year.

Friendly rivalry is the absolute best. It's the not knowing who's going to win, is even better.
Lol. Good time between friends...

Didn’t think they could get over 240 without bigger turbo and header and stuff ontop of all those mods. From what I saw 6-8000 got you 240hp and 270-280 was peaked but took closer to $15000 invested and not sure it was manageable with pump fuel. Anything beyond you had to open motor up.

I bought them brand new/used. I'm guessing they will discolor rapidly. I'll hit them with Wesley's bleach white Periodically, see if that helps.
$125. For everything. Couldn't pass it up.

He did did do the the billet pump basket with replaceable Walbro pump. Among other stuff that I’m forgetting right now. Maybe I misspoke at 270, 240 is all he’s gonna get with all that work and money spent? That makes me grin even more since now I have the wideband and closed loop, I can turn it up to 300 and really hurt his feelings. Lol.

I could be wrong but I really didn’t think they could without race fuel an header at most. What coooany did he use? Td, hurricane, precision?

looking at pic I’m guessing hurricane. And here is their entire write up for their one and only tune available (all other brands only have 1 tune also).

I wanna say it’s a precision cooler. He did tell me that he seen Hurricane has an L shaped cooler for $1200 that he wants. More surface area than the $900 Precision one he bought. And he will buy it if he thinks about too much. He jumped around a lot in the beginning and I couldn’t tell you who’s tune he used. I wanna say precision but I can’t be sure. I remember him saying he didn’t use Precision clutching because, his words, “their kit is more for top end”. He used Hot Rod Sled Shop clutching. I would have to take notes what he’s installing because he will say one thing and then ends up buying something different because he talked to them or researched it and said the other one is better. All I can say is he buys the best of everything, does not cut corners and money is no object when he wants something. No wife, no kids, no house payment. Lol. Must be nice.
I’m heading over to his place today, I’ll ask him again because I’m curious now if he said 270 or 240.
I know for a fact he did not touch internals or replace the turbo. All I know is he’s not gonna be 300 and if I can get it to the ground, he’s in for a rough season knowing he spent all that money and still can’t touch my Winder.

Thanks for calling him out, for getting blown away by a 210hp sled. Lol.
Snowbound & his buddy have volunteered to be my first two kills this year. Haha.
Let it snow!!!
I’m always game to run it. I should have my bugs worked out by mid January and we’ll have to meet up. Be nice riding with a fellow tuned Sidewinder, even if you are slower than my kids ‘90 Jag 440.
