I have a LTX se and I'm no slouch but man is this steering ever hard , I mean very hard to turn , front limiter strap is at the longest position , rear spring block is set on 2, front ski spring are set about 1 and 7/8 distance between the locking color and the top of the threads , I was told to take some presure off the front ski springs , but wouldn't that make it even harder since you are lowering the nose ? I dunno HELP!

I tightened the rear front shock and loosened the ski shocks on my LTX SE and turned easy now, was very hard at first.

Also, I noticed much more difficult steering on hard packed trails. Once the snow loosens up, it's better. Not great, but better. I still prefer the power steering of the Apex. Everything else about this Winder would keep me from going back to the Apex, however.

Do your push-ups every morning! :-o

I installed snow trackers and single keel cat skis. Snow trackers made my Nytro feel I like it had EPS. Will report back once I try the combo out this week.

Isn't there a Yamaha or Cat published chart that lists all suspension adjustments and their resulting effects?

I have Cat mountain skis and semi aggressive Snowtrackers and my steering is lighter than power steering but I need more ski bite. Might just switch to aggressive Snowtrackers.

My first 500 was on very low snow with ice base. Sled steered like a dream. Go figure. Then got on some hard pack. Not the same sled. I need bigger arms. Lol.

So, I'm going to start by tightening up front skid spring. Should lighten things up quite a bit. And help with transfer. Maybe then I'll look to the front shock springs to fine tune.

Of course with 60° temps on the way. I may just give it a bath and get the bike out.......

I have oem skis, put my viper snowtrackers on, adjusted my suspension, very satisfied.

watching for my cat skis...

also...to add to my post...Id tighten the center first before loosening the fronts ...compression and rebound settings effect ski pressure also, right cannondale lol
