Looking at putting a mountain heat exchanger on my XTX. I have found a lot of install discussion but I am curious as to the pluses and minuses of both. Which should I go with?
Also can't find a price on the MTX. What are they running?
Thanks!

Price?
Roest, I've seen this photo posted before. When is it going to be produced? I'm about one week away from ordering the MTX exchanger.

$249. Cooler is 30" long, so 5 ft. in total. Working hard to have them available in a few weeks.

Is the kit complete with hoses and instructions?

It'll have everything.....even the OEM Yamaha Hose 8. They are back ordered to Japan right now.

Mike,
MPI all the way. I bought one and the fit and finish on it is real nice. Looks like a lot of cooling going through there on th esides. They have the rails on a 45 degree angle form what I sa, down the side above any possible tunnel protectors you may or may not have. To bad I just sold a brand new set, cause I went 128" instead. Good Luck

The MPI one will not work for most rear mount turbo kits (including the MPI 180 kit)
IMO This looks like a good way to increase cooling capacity at a reasonable price point for guys like me that have a rear mount turbo with a charge tube going down the left hand side.

I'm excited to see what Roest releases, it looks to be some nice stuff at a really decent price and Roest has some great products. It looks to be much more than the OEM accessory option and quite comparable to the MPI kit at a more affordable price. I think this new kit will be a great option. Can't wait for its release.

Bill, can you post some pics of the MPI one, I can't find any pics of the shorty version

Sorry for the confusion. I originally was going to pick up a xtx and decided to go rtx. And as usual I bought the xtx exchanger . before I had the sled. So I sold it when I got the rtx . I went van amburg since Mac didn't finish his shorty design yet cause the studs were hitting it. He was working out the bugs. His xtx was nice quality though IMO

Roest,
Do you have any testing numbers compared to stock?
Thanks!

What do you mean by stock? In comparison to the MTX tunnel exchanger or compared to not having any tunnel exchanger?

Both would be great. I'll take whatever numbers you have.
