Heated Seat Fail on LE Model

My original stock seat is red/white as my sled is 50th. Put in box day one. Running mt seat on mine.

My heated seat works well still...never thought id like or need it, but I do use it some days when its below minus 20c.

I would call the dealer to inquire about the warranty on the seat.

I should have “Knocked On Wood” after posting this.
Next day after reading and posting on this subject, my heated seat stopped working. After checking a few things I swapped seats with my buddies rtx. His seat worked on mine, and mine did not on his.

Thanks to that 5 year warranty. Did not cost me a penny for the repair. Go Woodys!!

Mine failed around 4,000 miles, covered by warranty. When I bought the sled, it came as standard equipment, I thought "yeah right, a heated seat, whoooo". Turns out I really like it and will make sure the next sled has one too!

Same here. On really cold mornings I shall turn it on for for 10/15 minutes at a time. Really warms the entire body quickly.

If you are not riding as late in the season as me , can I buy your BTX seat off you , or at least rent it ??
What a difference that seat makes .
I sat on one today and it flt right !

Not that big of a deal but heated seat failed to work when I needed it most this year at -22 recently. Worked fine last year. Wiring looks good. No fuse for it so it must be direct connect to switch. Does the switch go bad? Again no big deal but I have so it might as well work properly.

My heated seat element wiring has failed twice now and i am currently waiting for it to be replaced by the dealer under warranty again.
I didn’t think I would even use the heated seat but on cold days it’s handy. It a nice option to have when it works. I am installing a kit on my wife’s machine soon.

Heat demon is a better product then the stock seat heaters. WAY CHEAPER also. My sled did not come with a heated seat, so installed a heat demon and it lastes 7000 miles. Only reason it went out was I kneeled on my seat with my knee and broke a wire. Very good product and my go to for heated seat. I use the model with just the on off switch. Not high or low. I would never use the stock ones they don’t last long.

took mine to dealer for broken heated seat pad and was told that it was only covered for one year on a 2017 ltx le sidewinder. Suppost to have 3 year bumper to bumper warranty i thought

Pretty sure the 17’s came with 2 years and a option to buy 3 more years?? Anyone know ?

I believe mine came with 1 year Yamaha warranty and 2 additional years YES warranty
